Message from the Teachers

Welcome to Whitegate National School.  We hope our website gives you a small insight into the great school we have here in the village of Whitegate. As a staff, we strive to create a happy and safe environment where all pupils are valued. We have high expectations for pupils’ academic achievement and behaviour and strive to enable every child to reach their full potential.

Pupils are involved in many extra-curricular activities including football, soccer, swimming, athletics, drama and art as well as many other activities throughout the school year. We have interactive whiteboards in our classrooms and children have the use of an indoor hall and outdoor playing field.

We are involved in many initiatives, The Green School, Health Promoting Schools, Active Schools and Junior Entrepreneur.
We have a very active Parents Association and we take pride in watching our pupils grow into mature and well-rounded individuals who are prepared to work hard to achieve their goals.
